David Mao is a PRC registered and licensed
attorney practicing law at Shanghai Pioneer Law Office, one of the
oldest downtown law firms in Shanghai, China. Shanghai Pioneer is
known for its expertise in various areas including foreign investment
and trade, banking, securities, corporate and commercial matters.
David
has over ten years of experience practicing in law in China. Prior to
managing Shanghai Pioneer, David worked as a foreign legal consultant
for various international and US firms such as Baker &
McKenzie,Herbert Smith and Davis Wright & Tremaine. He also used
to work as a trade finance officer at the Bank of America in Seattle
and Vancouver, BC. David’s practice has focused on international
trade, foreign investment in China and cross-boarder transaction.
David is a 1988 graduate of Shanghai Zhenxing Comparative Law Institute
where he received his Diploma in Comparative Law. In 1992 David
received his LL.M. degree from the University of Washington and in 1997
he received his M.B.A from Seattle University.
David is also a
counsel to Shanghai Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Wujin,
Changzhou Government in Jiangsu Province and CSST Resources Association
in Canada.
