On behalf of the King County Office of Business Relations and Economic Development, thank you for the very successful Trade Mission to China. Based on conversations with the delegates during the trade mission and in follow up discussions, the trade mission was a tremendous business success for each of them. WTE and CWCIE were excellent organizational partners. As a Ministry-leve authority, the CWCIE was able to arrange very high level meetings in government, academia, and the private sector.
Allison Clark, Export Promotion Coordinator, King County Office of Business Relations and Economic Development King County Trade Mission to China, November 2007
The trade mission to China far exceed my expectations. I was impressed by the quality of introductions and opportunities for intimate one-on-one dialogues with key government officials and top executives in the alternative energy industry. I am currently exploring two joint ventures opportunities as a direct result of the trade mission.
Thank you for the work you do to facilitate these exchanges. I think that they are a very valuable tool for understanding the culture of others. I have a much better understanding and appreciation of China and the Chinese people.
Irene Finck, Ohio Arts Council Public Art Circles of China program, January 2008
I wanted to thank you for the excellent experience that you offered me during the Food Professionals Exchange to China in November 2007. As a result, I am now implementing what I learned during this program in my job.
Thank you for all your hard work in organizing and paying attention to the important details. We learned so much about China, and the most important learning is this: the trip only scratched the suface and we need to return!!
Pat Shuman and Dave Edwards Museum Professionals in China program, October 2007
I attribute the success of my visit to the PRC to WTEs
sophisticated understanding of the PRC, substantive relationships with
significant organizations and individuals, and willingness to invest in
long-term relationships."
"With your vision and
perseverance, in May 2004 I led a delegation of 16 artists, arts
leaders and arts supporters from across Washington state on a 11-day
cultural exchange and trade mission to China. The goal of our trip was
to develop our knowledge of and appreciation for China's cultural
resources. With the generous and professional help of WTE, we were able
to learn about China's support for the arts and to begin to establish a
network of contacts for supporting arts-related trade and exchanges."
